Stars come out for Justin Timberlake's runway show
Fashionable types descended on the venue at 9pm to see the clothing line's first full collection, and for a rumoured performance from Timberlake.
'Entourage''s Jeremy Piven and Kevin Connolly, 'Saturday Night Live''s Andy Samberg, Rachel Hunter, actresses Malin Akerman and Emmanuelle Chriqui and 'Vogue' Editor Anna Wintour were all in attendance, with Wintour rushing backstage after the show to greet Timberlake.
Timberlake owns William Rast with his business partner Trace Ayala and, as previously reported, recently starred in a short Internet film to promote the brand.
In typical designer style, Timberlake emerged to take a bow at the end of the show, but did not perform live.

eBay was ordered to pay LVHM $61.3 million

A French court ordered EBAY to pay LVMH Moët Hennessy $61.3 million in damages for allowing counterfeit goods to be sold on the auction site.
After a two-year legal process the Paris Tribunal de Commerce found eBay guilty of gross misconduct in failing to prevent the sale of fake products.
eBay announced that it will appeal the decision. It said it has always removed listings if they were counterfeit and blames Louis Vuitton for its problems saying that it continues to use an outdated business model.

NAS - The New Face of Fila

Fila will offer reciprocal financial support for Nas' print and TV ad campaign as well as his upcoming tour in support of his untitled album, due July 15 via Def Jam. In return, the MC will wear Fila products and co-create an apparel line that draws from fashions of the late '80s.
"My best friend Will and I loved Fila," Nas tells Billboard.biz. "It represented prestige and everything that was cool to us. When Will passed, we buried him in a black Fila sweat suit, so doing a deal with them has a lot of significance for me."
According to Fila president John Epstein, it was a natural match. "One of my executives spotted Nas shopping in our Manhattan store and struck up a conversation with him," Epstein says. "Nas isn't interested in selling out. He's interested in being true, and that fits with our brand."
Nostalgia aside, some may view Epstein as brave to co-brand his company with an MC who's pledged to unpack America's racial struggles.
"I had some trepidation, and then I started talking to 16- to 20-year-old kids in focus groups," Epstein says. "They looked at me like I was crazy for not understanding his message of positive change. Nas is relevant to his followers and I don't have to understand it as long as they do."

America's Next Top Model at Fashion Week and Elsewhere

However, this hasn't stopped the 22-year-old from representing at Fashion Week, as she joined three other models from recent seasons of America 's Next Top Model on the runways. One of them, in fact, is one of Saleisha's Cycle 9 competitors. Apparently Cycle 9 bad girl Bianca Golden was good enough to grace the runway along with Cycle 8 winner Jaslene Gonzalez and Danielle "Dani" Evans, who won in Cycle 6.

Andre's new clothing line - Fit for royalty...

Andre is launching his Benjamin Bixby line, which contains 70 pieces, ranging from wide-brimmed fedora hats to pink sweatshirts, this autumn.
And the rapper believes that Brummell, the man credited with inventing the suit in the 19th century, and Duke Of Windsor Edward VIII would love his new styles.
Andre says, "There has to be something inventive about it. But not so inventive that it's a turn-off. So that some of the greats, like Beau Brummell or the Duke of Windsor, would nod and say 'Well done.'

No "color" on the Runway???

"What happened to all the black people on the runway?" asked model Tyson Beckford, who attended several shows at New York Fashion Week. "There are no blacks on the cats."
Naomi Campbell put it another way: "Women of color are not a trend. That's the bottom line."
And while Campbell wasn't invited to the shows this week and didn't attend, the supermodel may have been on to something. It seems that while the fashion industry was worrying about how skinny models were, it was neglecting another problem: how white they were. There were drops of color here and there, but with the exception of a couple of shows, the runways were lined with pallid, bony bodies.
"There used to be myself, Naomi Campbell,Veronica Webb, Tyra Banks," Beckford said. "There used to be a lot of us out there, but today a lot of the designers just aren't catering to black people."
In truth, this Fashion Week looked like about as diverse — or homogenous — as many before it. But if ever there should have been more people of color on the runway, the time was now.

Victoria Beckham: I split up the band.. because I wanted to be a fashion designer

Talking exclusively to the News of the World, Posh admitted that she only agreed to a Spice reunion for sons Brooklyn, eight, Romeo, five, and two-year-old Cruz.
"I was very nervous about going back into the Spice Girls because I didn't want to send out a confused message," she admitted.
"The reason I decided to do the tour was to show my kids that mummy was a pop star once.
"I've been thinking about this for a long time. I'm not in the music industry any more. I'm in the fashion industry.
"I'm putting together a team of people now so it will be my main project when I finish this tour in a month.
"It's the last opportunity there will be to see the Spice Girls together."

Issac Mizrahi dumps Target for Liz Claiborne

Mizrahi enjoyed an outstanding 5 years with the discount retailer and his collection sold about $300 million worth of merchandise a year. Target desperately wanted to renew his contract but could not match the Claiborne offer.
In this role, Mizrahi will oversee the design and marketing functions for women's apparel, accessories, and licensing. His first collection for Liz Claiborne will arrive in stores in Spring 2009, but unlike his line for Target, Mizrahi's name will not be attached to the Liz Claiborne label.

Burberry Jumps Over the Color Rainbow

In what marks a significant departure from the norm for the iconic British fashion house, Christopher Bailey has cast his team of bright young things in rich color against a clean white backdrop, in keeping with his collection’s vibrant hues.
Having for several seasons now focused the light away from established talent like Kate MossStella Tennant, the new campaign represents an energetic and new young Brit regime. Agyness Deyn, Burberry’s muse du jour, stars in the images shot by Mario Testino alongside the likes of Lily Donaldson, Coco Sumner (Sting’s daughter), actor Eddie Redmayne, and members of the British rock group Blondelle.
This campaign also marks only the second time Burberry has ever featured a full-color campaign; the first time was Spring 2006, when Gemma Ward was photographed against an oversized bronzed British flag.
