Yes, it was that time of year again, the BET Awards... My how time has flown, seriously only seems like a few months ago when I was making my trek down to the Shrine for LAST YEARS show.My personal highlights of the show..
Obviously Ne-Yo and Chris Brown..
Especially loved Alica Keys performance (I want her wig) when she collaborated with various female 90's acts (yaaay 90's). SWV, En Vogue and TLC (T-Boz and Chilli) at their best.
And lifetime achievement winner Al Green singing his classic - Lets Stay Together..
Although most of BET experience was spent on the red carpet and behind the scenes, all in all another eventful show...

Dr. Jays Blog just announced that Akademiks is sponsoring the Perez Hilton Presents South By Southwest’ showcase in Austin, Texas.” Pharrell and N.E.R.D. will headline with nine indie bands.To showcase this, they've produced the "official" shirt. Way to go Perez (I'd be happy with the money too) As for Akademiks - No comment!

Jay-Z and Mary J. Blige have decided to join forces for the Heart of The City tour, which kicks off on March 22nd at Miami's American Airlines Arena.
Allhiphop.com reports that tickets for the 25-city tour will be available starting on February 15th through livenation.com.
